The School

In its tenth year of operation, and boasting an average combined enrollment of over 500 students, Seattle Language Academy (SLA) is an institution dedicated to teaching both English and foreign languages.

The school is located in Fremont, one of the liveliest and most picturesque neighborhoods in Seattle. With its abundance of shops, restaurants, cafés and galleries, and its stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and Lake Washington Ship Canal, visitors and residents alike are never at a loss for things to do and see.

Our new facility, the beautiful and friendly neighborhood, and easy access to downtown make SLA an ideal place to learn English.

Because SLA has a large number of students studying foreign languages, it is often possible for ELP students and FLP (Foreign Language Program) students to have LANGUAGE EXCHANGES. SLA staff will be happy to help set up exchanges free of charge.

SLA'S FACILITIES include spacious and comfortable classrooms, all with conference-style seating; a computer/resource room with free email and Internet access; a fully equipped breakroom for ELP students and staff; and an on-site café where students can purchase beverages and meals.

SLA'S ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM STAFF is friendly and helpful. We are all native English speakers with extensive experience traveling and living abroad. ELP Instructors are highly qualified, have degrees in English and/or TEFL/TESL certification and are conversant or fluent in at least one foreign language.
